Jenell Van Bindsbergen is an associate in the Fresno office specializing in labor and employment law. Ms. Van Bindsbergen has practiced law on behalf of public agencies for more than 11 years. Before admittance to the California State Bar, Ms. Van Bindsbergen was employed for 3 years as a law clerk. She was the sole decision maker for multiple aspects of employment cases. During this time, she began her prevalent experience in employment-related issues.
Ms. Van Bindsbergen has organized many cases including preparation of complaints, answers, correspondence, mediation/arbitration, summary judgments, motions and all phases of discovery, interaction with clients and co-counsel, statute calendaring, trial preparation and trial. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Van Bindsbergen practiced in employment law, education law representing CTA, municipal law, employment litigation, and personal injury. She handled several personal injury cases as well as sexual harassment, race, age, sex, sexual orientation and disability discrimination cases.
Her extensive knowledge of employment-related issues includes employment negotiation, settlement, administrative hearings, discrimination matters, and sexual harassment. She is also an experienced litigator on behalf of public agencies. As a Deputy City Attorney for the City of Fresno, she practiced in all phases of civil litigation. Ms. Van Bindsbergen helped administer the transactional and litigation departments and handled employment issues, including personal injury and negligence, for the City.
Mrs. Van Bindsbergen received her J.D. from the San Joaquin College of Law in 1996. She earned a B.A. in History from California State University, Fresno, in 1992. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1997. |
