Jennifer's career began with the international law firm of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey (SS&D) where she developed and directed their lawyer recruiting. She was promoted to oversee the firm-wide consolidation of their staff and lawyer personnel, benefits and training functions. While at SS & D, she founded the Law Placement Association of Cleveland (LPAC). She also was active with the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) where she was elected as a charter member of the Advisory Board and Director of the NALP Executive Committee. She is a recipient of the annual Woman of Professional Excellence Award. She has consulted with employers on a broad spectrum of human resource issues including recruiting, compensation and benefits, training and development, performance management and general administration.
Prior to co-founding MARKT & MARKWORTH, LTD., Jennifer was recruited to join the newly created management team for QualChoice Health Plan, Inc. (a subsidiary of University Hospitals Health Systems) where she was Vice President of Human Resources. Her work and search experience enables her to work in many diverse industries in such practice areas as Supply Chain Management, Legal, Finance, IT, Marketing and Human Capital Management.
Jennifer grew up in the Washington, D.C. area. She attended Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio and received her Bachelor's degree from Kent State University. She is married to Dale Markworth who practices law in Cleveland, Ohio. They have one daughter. Jennifer has been an active volunteer working for civic organizations such as the Cleveland Orchestra and the Heart Association.
