Jennifer R. Racine is a registered patent attorney and member of the Intellectual Property practice group in the Madison office. She counsels clients on patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and other intellectual property and technical issues including licensing and litigation. She has experience with a wide variety of technology, including the mechanical arts, automotive components, medical devices, chemical processes, and software. She also has expertise in trademark and copyright matters, and has co-taught Copyright Law class at the University of Wisconsin Law School. Jennifer graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she served as symposium editor of the Wisconsin Law Review, co-editor-in-chief of the Wisconsin Women's Law Journal, and vice president of the Intellectual Property Student Organization. In addition, she is the author of "A Fundamental Rights Debate: Should Wisconsin Allow Adult Adoptees Unconditional Access to Adoption Records and Original Birth Certificates," 2002 Wisconsin Law Review 1435, and co-author of "Personal Jurisdiction and the Internet: An Update," Wisconsin Lawyer (October 2003).
Prior to attending law school, Jennifer earned her bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University and spent four years working as an engineering professional with DuPont. Jennifer is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
