Jennifer Ward Hampton is an attorney in the firm's Employment Law and Insurance Litigation Departments. She concentrates her practice in civil litigation with a primary focus in the defense of general negligence claims, amusement and recreational risks, professional liability claims, and employment matters at the federal, state, and administrative agency level, as well as property insurance litigation. Ms. Hampton represents small to large-sized employers in a wide variety of workplace matters, including retaliation claims, wrongful discharge claims, and claims involving workplace torts, under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, PHRA and the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination. She also defends claims brought against corporate directors and officers, involving shareholder derivative suits, claims of breach of fiduciary duty, self-dealing, usurpation of corporate opportunities, unlawful distribution of corporate assets, alter ego claims, and a wide variety of breach of contract claims. In addition, Ms. Hampton also represents clients in the Entertainment Industry dealing with contract and intellectual property issues. While completing her law degree, Ms. Hampton served as online editor of Regent University's Journal of Art, Entertainment and Sports Law. She also performed her third-year practice with the Chesapeake Commonwealth Attorney's Office. Ms. Hampton is admitted to the bars of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. She is a member of the American, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Burlington, and Camden County Bar Associations. She is an active member of the Association of Trial Lawyers, National Association of Insurance Women, Tri-State Human Resources Management Association, Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc., New Jersey Young Insurance Professionals and Young Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association. She is also a founding member of the Central Jersey Claims Association and a committee member of the South Jersey Claims Association. Ms. Hampton earned her J.D. degree from Regent University School of Law and a B.S. degree from Liberty University during which time she was named to Who's Who Among College Students. Ms. Hampton attended Liberty University on an athletic scholarship and served as team captain for the Lady Flames, which is a Division 1 fast pitch softball team. |
