Jennifer Acree brings her experience in non-profit organization assessment and benchmarking to Richner & Richner as Assessment Specialist. She has honed these skills with the BEST Project in Flint, where she is currently Director of Programs. BEST is a capacity building initiative for Genesee County non-profit organizations funded by a partnership of the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, Community Foundation of Greater Flint, Ruth Mott Foundation and United Way of Genesee County known as the Flint Funders Collaborative (FFC). Through BEST, Jennifer administers the assessment and capacity building phases of projects for over twenty non-profit agencies, while coordinating the support of over sixty vetted consultants and the FFC. Jennifer graduated with a Masters in Social Work degree from the University of Michigan where she focused on non-profit management and organizational development. During her graduate studies, she worked for the NEW Center, a management support organization in Ann Arbor serving the non-profit sector.
Jennifer received a degree in international relations from Syracuse University in New York. Upon graduation, she remained at the University serving as the Associate for College Relations in the College of Arts and Sciences for four years. Jennifer is a member of the Michigan Nonprofit Association, Grantmakers for Effective Organizations, Michigan Association for Evaluation, Alliance for Nonprofit Management, Society for Nonprofit Organizations and Rotary Club of Flint. She has served as a board member of the Syracuse International Film Festival and ThINC, a grassroots arts organization in Syracuse, NY. She was actively involved in fundraising and donor relations as a board member for these organizations. |
