Jennifer Fuson joined CU in January 2006 as assistant media director, working to ensure that CU�s message advances the organization�s public policy agenda on telecommunications, financial privacy, food safety, energy and oil, and other product safety advocacy issues.
Jennifer has over a decade of experience in Washington working for the public interest. Before joining CU, Jennifer�s proudest achievement was the eight years she spent working on money and politics, educating the media on campaign finance reform and the need to ban soft money. She spent five years working as Communications Director for Democracy 21, the organization started by Fred Wertheimer, a pioneer in the field of government accountability and campaign reform issues.
Prior to joining Democracy 21, Jennifer worked in the press office of the Federal Election Commission and served as a consumer advocate for the Center for Science in the Public Interest on nutrition and transportation legislation. Jennifer also has worked for the Center for Community Change, providing low-income and minority community groups with advice on messaging and overall media strategy on immigration reform and other low-income issues.
