Professor Andersen obtained his masters degree and Ph.D in analytical chemistry from University of Copenhagen and his D.Sc. degree from the Technical University of Denmark. In 1991 he moved to a post doc position at department of Chemistry, University of Cambridge, UK, and after joining the Institute of Chemistry, Technical University of Denmark in 1995, he became the leader of the department of analytical chemistry in 2006. Professor Andersen has focused on analytical bioinorganic chemistry, with a particular interest in electrochemical scanning tunnelling microscopy (ESTM), electrochemical nanotechnology, e a rth metal salts, flow Injection Analysis (FIA), and Quality control of analytical measurements. Professor Andersen has served as President of the Danish Society of Analytical Chemistry, and since 2000 as the Danish representative of EuCheMS/FECS, Division of Analytical Chemistry. He is the author of more than 60 peer reviewed scientific papers. |
