Jeremy Sosna has extensive experience defending Fortune 200 corporations and small companies in age, race and gender discrimination claims, sexual harassment litigation, disability and workers' compensation matters, age discrimination lawsuits, wrongful discharge actions, and class action wage and hour overtime litigation. He also represents clients in unfair competition matters as both a plaintiff and defendant, including restrictive covenant enforcement actions, trade secret misappropriation cases, and shareholder disputes. Jeremy has litigated cases in state and federal courts in numerous jurisdictions in more than 17 states. Additionally, Jeremy has argued cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and the Minnesota Court of Appeals. He routinely represents clients before state and federal administrative agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Minnesota Human Rights Department.
Jeremy also regularly provides employers with counseling and training in all areas of labor and employment law, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA, ERISA, drug and alcohol testing, sexual harassment investigations, workplace violence matters, and the National Labor Relations Act. In 2004 and 2005, he was retained by a Fortune 200 company located in Minnesota to act as an in-house employment lawyer for ten months, providing legal services ranging from labor and employment counseling to litigation management.
In 2005, Jeremy was named a "Rising Star" by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine, a recognition given only to top lawyers under the age of 40 who have been practicing 10 or fewer years. He is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, the United States District Court for the Districts of Minnesota and Arizona and the Minnesota Supreme Court. He is an active member of the American Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Hennepin County Bar Association. Jeremy has also served as a defense representative on the local mediation advisory board for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
