Jerome B. Tichner is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm's Boston office. He is a member of the Health Department. Jerry maintains a general health law practice, focusing on the representation of hospitals, health systems and other health care clients. Jerry has experience representing pharmaceutical companies, durable medical equipment companies and medical device manufacturers. Jerry regularly provides regulatory and transactional representation to such clients in connection with acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic affiliations, conversions to tax-exempt status, and other transactional matters.
Jerry also has significant experience advising clients with regard to HIPAA compliance, fraud and abuse and Stark, licensing and other regulatory matters. Jerry was a member of the Boston Bar Association's Health Law Task Force on HIPAA Preemption.
Jerry has been a contributing author to a variety of publications, including the State-by-State Clinical Trial Requirements Reference Guide (Barnett Educational Services), FDLI Update: (State Laws and Clinical Trials-Liability Risks Associated with Failure to Comply with State Requirements), the Massachusetts Bar Association's Health Law Section Review, and the Journal of Health Law : (Tips for Challenging an Audit Based on Statistical Sampling). While at Boston University, he was the Executive Editor for the American Journal of Law & Medicine.
Jerry is a member of the Boston Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association.
