Mr. Jerry Marks is a partner in the Litigation Department of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP.
Mr. Marks has extensive experience representing issuers, directors and officers, investment banks, and accounting firms in securities litigation, corporate governance matters, mergers and acquisition litigation, internal investigations, and enforcement proceedings before the SEC. Mr. Marks has handled matters for numerous financial institutions, including: Credit Suisse Securities, Merrill Lynch, Bank of America Securities, JPMorgan Chase, Deutsche Bank, DLG, Cowen & Company and others. He also has represented large companies and their directors and officers in securities class action matters, including Thornburg Mortgage, ARCO, Entropin and HPL Technologies. Another part of Mr. Marks's practice has been the representation of accounting firms in securities litigation and SEC enforcement proceedings, including Deloitte & Touche, PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, and KPMG-UK.
Mr. Marks is a graduate of the University of Iowa where he received his B.B.A., in 1984 and J.D., Order of the Coif, in 1987. Mr. Marks is a former law clerk to the Honorable Pamela Ann Rymer of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He is admitted to the bars of California; U.S. District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of California; Sixth, Ninth, and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeals; and U.S. Supreme Court. |
