Jerry Buckley was appointed Senior Vice President-Public Affairs in October 2001. He oversees Corporate and Employee Communications, Brand Public Relations and Community Relations. He is also Chairman of the Campbell Soup Foundation. Jerry reports to Nancy Reardon, Senior Vice President-Chief Human Resources and Communications Officer.
Jerry joined Campbell Soup Company in 1995 as Group Director-Corporate Communications and was named Vice President-Public Affairs in January 1997.
Prior to Campbell, Jerry held positions with three national news organizations. From 1975 to 1987, he was a correspondent for Newsweek in New York, Washington, and Boston, and bureau chief in Toronto. From 1987 to 1994, he was a senior editor and senior writer at U.S. News and World Report in Washington. From 1994 to 1995, he served as an editor with Gannett, Inc.
He graduated with honors from Fordham University in 1977 and earned his master's degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism in 1978.
He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey Academy for Aquatic Sciences and the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey. He is a member of The Community Advisory Board of WHYY, the public broadcasting company serving southeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, and South Jersey. |
