President of Cuyahoga Community College since 1992. From 1985 to 1992, Dr. Thornton served as President of Lakewood Community College in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin and her M.A. and B.A. from Murray State University. Dr. Thornton is also a Director of National City Corporation, American Greetings Corporation and Applied Industrial Technologies, Inc. Dr. Thornton is also a board member of United Way of Cleveland, The Cleveland Foundation, Greater Cleveland Partnership and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum - Cleveland and New York. |
