Jerry Whalen was named Vice President, Sales in June 2003. In this role, he reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and is responsible for attaining and retaining commercial revenue with large and small mailers.
Whalen began his postal career in June 2003. He comes to the Postal Service with a record of significant accomplishments at Xerox, where he spent 25 years in sales-related positions.
Beginning as a sales trainee, Whalen advanced through a series of assignments that culminated in his being named Xerox's Vice President for National Sales Operations, Consumable Business Supplies. In that role, he was responsible for a $983 million sales operation which, during his tenure, significantly improved profit margins and top-ine revenue.
Most recently, Whalen was a corporate officer and senior vice president of sales for Ohio-based Complient Corporation, a market leader in emergency medical response solutions.
