Jerry Ketterling's technical knowledge and entrepreneurial drive has been a key factor in establishing ESSI as a leading provider of Information Security solutions. Ketterling has worked with Public and Private Utilities across the West in securing their Information Technologies infrastructure and auditing the security of SCADA systems. Ketterling has worked with numerous Utilities to understand and incorporate NERC security standards (Section G) into their business planning. Ketterling is a regular speaker at Public Utilities events, including American Public Power Association (APPA) and Northwest Public Power Association (NWPPA) events. Ketterling is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and possesses more than twenty years experience in the fields of Secure Network Design, Internet Security, SCADA Penetration Testing, Software Development, Enterprise Information Systems, and Client Server Tools. Before co-founding ESSI in 1993, Ketterling served as a Senior Systems Engineer with Advanced Technology Laboratories (ATL), based in Bothell, Washington. At ATL, Ketterling architected and implemented large-scale enterprise networks. Prior to his work with Advanced Technology Laboratories, Ketterling served the Boeing Commercial Airplanes Group as an original member of the research team which developed the liquid crystal display technologies that are now used worldwide in instrument displays and flat panel display monitors. Ketterling holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Dakota. Ketterling is a sought after lecturer and an author of numerous articles on network security. |
