Jerry Smiley joined LOPEZGARCIA GROUP in 1994 and currently serves as both the Transit and Federal and State Division Manager and as the senior corporate administrative manager. He is a certified planner with 15 years of experience in environmental and transportation planning and is the Principal-in-Charge of contracts with Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), Houston METRO and Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Capital Metro). His areas of technical specialization include transportation, comprehensive and environmental planning for linear projects. He has served as a project manager and/or participated in environmental assessments, environmental impact statements, baseline reports and major investment studies.Jerry received his Master of Public Affairs and Master of Science, Environmental Science, from Indiana University, and his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington. He served as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University for two years. He is a member of the American Planning Association and the Greater Dallas Planning Council and is a 2005 graduate of Leadership Dallas. He also served on the City of Arlington's Capital Improvement 1999 and 2002 Bond Committee. |
