Jessica Hickey has over three years of experience in wetland delineation and mitigation; permitting; stream and wetland restoration; plant, terrestrial, and aquatic surveys; Phase I Environmental Site Assessments; and water quality testing. She currently helps coordinate wetland mitigation monitoring projects for Davey Resource Group. Other experience at Davey includes participation in the Asian Longhorned Beetle Cooperative Eradication Program in New York City. In this position, she acted as a field supervisor, quality control manager, data manager, and liaison to the USDA. Ms. Hickey has also completed training through the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the following: Headwater Habitat Evaluation Index (HHEI), Vegetation Index of Biotic Integrity (VIBI), Qualitative Habitat Evaluation Index (QHEI), and Ohio Rapid Assessment Method (ORAM) v5. She has also completed a Geomorphology and Ecology of Stream Systems course. Prior to joining Davey, Ms. Hickey worked under contract for the government composing Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements to fulfill National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) requirements. In this position, she gained insight by attending planning meetings, working with engineers and planners to coordinate environmental issues, and by participating in project related public participation meetings. Ms. Hickey graduated from the University of Toledo, with a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science with an emphasis in biology, and holds a Master of Science degree in biology from John Carroll University. |
