Jim Aston serves as Executive Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Island Capital. Mr. Aston joined Island Capital at its formation and previously was the Chief Financial Officer of Insignia Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: IFS), which he joined in 1990. Prior to joining Insignia, Mr. Aston was a CPA at predecessor firms of Ernst & Young for ten years, where his practice concentrated on real estate and securities offerings. He presided over more than $7 billion of financings during his tenure with Insignia and has over 20 years of experience in real estate, finance and accounting. Mr. Aston received a B.S. degree (with highest honors) from Clemson University in 1975, where he majored in Accounting. |
