Mr. Betlyon was General Manager of Business Development at Imation Corporation (NYSE:IMN), where he managed technology acquisitions. Imation acquired his second company, Luminous Corporation in October of 1996. Mr. Betlyon was founder and CEO of Luminous Corporation, Seattle, Wa., a company focusing on the new markets and technologies in graphic arts, imaging, and workflow automation across the Internet. Formerly, Mr. Betlyon was Vice President of the Production Imaging Group at Adobe Systems Inc. (NSDQ: ADBE) where he managed the PostScript business unit and other emerging technologies and directions in graphic arts and Internet. While at Adobe, Mr. Betlyon directed several acquisitions and was an advisor to the Adobe Venture Fund. Mr. Betlyon was president and founder of Compumation Inc., which was acquired by Adobe Systems in March of 1994. He founded Compumation in 1988; the company developed products for print and image management, and developed concepts of automated workflow systems in publishing. Prior to Compumation, Mr. Betlyon was an R&D manager for ITT Corporation and started one of the first imaging service bureaus. He has a BS in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University and an MS in Engineering Management from NJIT. He resides in Bucks County Pa., is married with three sons, and is an active pilot, owning his own aircraft. |
