DePalma joined Core Software Technology in 2001 and became chief executive officer in September 2002. Before joining Core, DePalma held a number of high level positions with Westinghouse Electric Corporation and its successor companies CBS Inc. and Viacom International in the areas of operations; mergers, acquisitions and divestures; and finance. During his tenure with Westinghouse, between 1995 and 2001, the overall market capitalization grew from $3 billion to over $50 billion. DePalma, who is a magna cum laude graduate of Bentley College, began his business career in the New York office of Coopers & Lybrand (currently PricewaterhouseCoopers) in 1973 and advanced to senior partner, spending 22 years with the firm. He primarily focused on companies in defense and communications, specializing in business controls and processes, operations consulting and corporate transactions (mergers, acquisitions and divestures). DePalma is on the board of directors of Core Software Technology, AFIX Technologies, Inc. and ImageSat International. He was previously a director of CBS MarketWatch. |
