Jim DiFilippo is Managing Partner of the Retail Practice of CTPartners, a premier executive search firm committed to performance, quality and results. In utilizing a unique approach developed during 15 years as a retail executive and 15 years as a search consultant exclusively devoted to clients in the sector, Jim collaborates closely with boards of directors and senior management to attract talent needed to differentiate companies in the marketplace. Jim has successfully completed hundreds of assignments for client companies in consumer, supermarket, food services, and mass merchant and specialty store retail space. Most recently, Jim was Vice President and Managing Director of Cook Associate�s Retail/Consumer Practice. His 15 years as a search professional includes being head of Whitehead Mann�s Retail Practice and a member of the Management Committee for North America. Jim was Founder and President of national retail search firm Lawrence James Associates, where he built and led a team of professionals in recruiting retail, supermarket, foodservice, drug and wholesale food store executives as well as talent for fast moving consumer products companies. Previously, Jim was with Korn/Ferry International, where he was Managing Partner and Vice President of the Retail Specialty Practice. Jim�s experience as a retail industry executive with some of the nation�s best of class organizations is the foundation for his deep understanding of the industry�s cultures and talent requirements. He has undertaken responsibilities ranging from operations, merchandising, buying, store scheduling, and new store construction for pre-eminent retailers including Bradlees, Stop & Shop, and Medimart. Jim holds a BS degree from the Academy of Food Marketing at St. Joseph�s University and attended California State University�s Western College of Law at Fullerton. He is active in several professional organizations, including the Food Marketing Institute, the Academy of Food Marketing Founders Club, and the National Retail Federation.
