Mr. Frakes joined Aethlon Medical in January 2008 and brought 16 consecutive years of financial responsibility for publicly traded companies, as well as, specific knowledge and experience in equity and debt transactions, acquisitions, public reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley section 404 internal control requirements. He also serves as the CFO for Left Behind Games Inc., a start-up video game company. Prior to 2006, he served as CFO of NTN Buzztime, Inc., an interactive entertainment company with $40 million in sales, where he played a key role in acquisitions that doubled the company's revenue. Additionally, he was involved in the IPO and subsequent private placements. From 1997 to 2001 he was CFO of Play Co. Toys/Toys International, a company that required managing the turnaround process to convert a regional chain of toy stores to a national chain, a process that entailed two public stock offerings, a private placement and the arrangement of credit facilities aggregating $25 million. His first CFO appointment was with Urethane Technologies, Inc., again, a situation that entailed public stock offerings, private placements and the establishment of debt facilities.
Since early 2007 Mr. Frakes has been a member of the San Diego practice of Tatum, LLC, the nation's largest executive services firm where he continues an association. His earliest career experience was in investment banking at Berkeley International Capital Corp., Lloyds Bank International Ltd., and Security Pacific National Bank.
Mr. Frakes received an MBA from the University of Southern California, and did his undergraduate work at Stanford University. |
