Jim Fuentes' career spans over twenty-five years in the development and deployment of software and telecommunications solutions. Jim is highly regarded for his invention of the Wireless Subscriber System that formed the foundation of Clarity Communication Systems. Since its inception in 1998, Clarity has grown significantly while achieving superlative ratings from key customers and quality metrics that exceed industry norms. Before founding Clarity, Jim served at Lucent Technologies (formerly AT&T Bell Laboratories) for ten years in various positions, most recently as a senior manager in wireless infrastructure software development. Prior to joining Bell Labs, Jim served four years at Northrop Defense Systems and six years in Advanced Development Projects at Lockheed Aircraft Company. Jim earned a B.S. degree in aeronautical engineering with a second major in computer science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He holds six patents in the wireless telecommunications field and received the Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Award for Technical Achievement in Industry in 1995. An active participant in the regional business community, Jim is Chairman of the Board for ISCO International, serves on the Board for the Illinois Finance Authority and the WESTEC Advisory Board, and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. |
