Jim Glennon, the third generation in a family of law enforcement officers, has been with the Lombard, Ill. Police Department since 1980. Currently a Commander in the Patrol Division, Jim has held positions as a patrol officer, detective, shift sergeant, and Commander of the Investigations Unit. In 1998 he was selected as the first Commander of Investigations for the newly formed DuPage County Major Crimes (Homicide) Task Force. Lt. Glennon has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Law Enforcement Justice Administration. A graduate of the School of Police Staff and Command at Northwestern University Jim was elected class president, received the prestigious Kreml Leadership Award, and began teaching for Northwestern within months of completing the 400 hour course. Jim was one of two original Defensive Tactics Coordinators for the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy in DuPage County, IL. Along with his role as Lead Instructor for the Calibre Press Street Survival Seminar, Lt. Glennon instructs various courses for both law enforcement and private industry. He specializes in teaching courses in two fields: Communication (Arresting Communication), and Leadership (The More Courageous Path: Finding the Leader in You). His private sector clients include prominent businesses, casinos, hospitals, and restaurants. |
