Jim was the original founder of SPSI in 1987 and was involved in the technical side of the business before taking on the role of President in 1996. Prior to SPSI, Jim was a technical consultant at Computer Methods, Inc. and Harris Data before going independent for five years. His technical consulting covered the entire range of IBM Mid-Range systems integrating and implementing most major software packages along with custom software development. Jim received an AA degree in Liberal Arts from Concordia College and enlisted in the US Army in 1973. His Army duties included training as an air defense missile mechanic for the Vulcan system, Battalion Field Operations and Battalion Legal Clerk. He received the Army Commendation Medal for his service. After his military service, Jim used the GI Bill to attend MBTI to get a certificate in Computer Science which allowed him to gain employment as a consultant. Jim and his wife reside in Wauwatosa where they raised their three children. A lifelong sports junkie, Jim remains active playing softball, basketball, soccer and golf. |
