Jim leads the architectural and construction management practice comprised of projects in commercial, educational, health care and financial segments. His team of architects creates designs that are innovative, attractive and safe while his construction managers ensure optimum use of available construction funds, direct the scope of the work, and control the project schedule. Jim has over 25 years practicing architecture designing and managing various projects. Previously, he created an architectural practice for the Farnsworth Group, opened their Peoria Office and was a member of their Board of Directors. In 2001, he joined PSA Dewberry where he led their education division including K-12 schools, community colleges and universities. Subsequently, he became the Peoria Office Director managing 100 architects and engineers. His current projects include a large addition/renovation and new gym for East Peoria Community High School and a new facility for South Side Bank. Previous projects include the Business Instructional Facility at the University of Illinois, Fairchild Hall and Old Union Hall renovations at Illinois State University, the Quad Cities Riverfront Campus Education Building in Moline, IL and the Baseball Stadium in Macomb, IL for Western Illinois University, Wilson and Washington Intermediate schools in Pekin, IL, East Side Sports Complex in East Peoria, IL, and the Gateway Building in downtown Peoria. Jim has a Bachelors of Architectural Engineering from Oklahoma State University and a MBA from the University of Illinois. He is a licensed architect and licensed landscape architect in Illinois and has a NCARB national architectural registration. |
