Jim McGean is president South Area for Verizon Wireless, responsible for the company's operations in the Houston/Gulf Coast, Central Texas, Florida, Carolinas/Tennessee and Georgia/Alabama regions. Prior to this position, McGean served as the president Georgia/Alabama Region. McGean's experience in the wireless industry spans 19 years, all with Verizon Wireless (and predecessor companies). Areas of work have included merger integration leadership, product and pricing management, retail distribution, market development and operations. He has held positions of increasing responsibility, including executive director integration management, director-retail distribution, director-strategic marketing and regional director-marketing and distribution
