EXPERIENCE
With over 20 years of experience in the automotive and technical recruiting industry, Jim has the experience and expertise to work on virtually any position within his specialty area of engineering positions in R&D to Manufacturing, primarily in the automotive industry. Jim also works with other manufacturing industries as well as with Materials Engineering and Metallurgy. Positions he has worked on range from Vice President and Chief Scientist to Design Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer. Companies Jim works with include manufacturing firms and smaller hi-tech firms.
EDUCATION & BACKGROUND
Jim joined Management Recruiters in 2001 after holding management and executive positions in Human Resources and Information Technology. He has spent over twenty years in technical and executive staffing having extensive experience on both sides of the staffing process.
As the head of the HR Department at the Environmental Research Institute of Michigan for over ten years, Jim was responsible for staffing all levels of the organization from research engineers and scientists though the senior executive ranks. During his tenure at ERIM the organization grew from 320 employees to 950, expanding to three out of state locations.
In addition to the corporate experience gained as an HR executive, he also has over twelve years experience as an executive and technical search consultant finding technically oriented management and executive talent for a variety of organizations ranging in size from small privately held organizations to Fortune 10 organizations such as Ford Motor Company and DaimlerChrysler. He is also an adjunct professor at Eastern Michigan University?s College of Technology.
