Jim Murphy is a Partner at Johnson Lambert & Co.'s Jacksonville, Florida office. Throughout his career in public accounting, Jim has specialized in insurance and serviced over 100 different insurance companies. Jim has worked extensively with property/casualty, life and health insurers including commercial carriers, captive insurance companies, reinsurers and risk retention groups. He has also had a successful career in litigation consulting where he has provided a variety of forensic accounting services on failed insurance companies, including expert testimony at deposition and trial.
Jim sits on the DC Captives Advisory Board and is actively involved in the Insurance Accounting Systems Association, the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Society of Financial Examiners and regularly attends the quarterly meetings of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. He is a frequent instructor in the areas of insurance operations, accounting and auditing.
Jim is a graduate of UCLA. He began his career with Coopers & Lybrand before joining Johnson Lambert & Co.
Jim lives in Jacksonville, Florida with his wife and two children. Jim is an avid golfer. |
