Jim is responsible for business development in the west coast information technology market. Jim has over a 15 year track record of business development, financial structuring, and underwriting transactions for early stage and middle market companies. Prior to joining Horizon, Jim spent 13 years at GATX Capital Corporation including four years at GATX Ventures where he was responsible for originations. While at GATX, Jim structured more than $200 million in debt financings. Jim's other experience at GATX includes financial analysis and structuring of various asset-backed loans, leases, and joint venture investments. Jim started his career in 1987 at Peterson & Company Consulting, providing economic analysis services to resolve business disputes. Jim earned a Masters in Business Administration from The University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. |
