Jim was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1980. He first became interested in TV journalism while serving with the United States Army in Vietnam.
Jim has worked for television stations in Tucson, Arizona, Tyler, Texas and for almost twenty years, KTBS Three News. He's married to Terrie Roberts, a copy editor and page design specialist at the Times
of Shreveport. They have one daughter, a student at C.E. Byrd High School. He enjoys reading history and politics, playing racquetball, gardening and traveling. |
