When Jim Snee met Randy Strauss, managing partner of StraussGroup,Inc., he felt extremely lucky. Jim s goal has always been to raise the level of professionalism in the staffing industry. Randy s goal is the same. Adhering to a policy of honesty and truthfulness with both clients and candidates and with a focus on long term development as opposed to a quick fix is what Jim believes will leadto long lasting success in the staffing business. Jim Snee joined StraussGroup in July of 2005 and brought with him many years of experience in the contract staffing business. In the late nineties Jim was contracted for an executive H/R position with Bell Atlantic. He established and administered an on site employee test center with the goal of diversifying the Bell Atlantic work force and placed people for clerical, customer service, technical and management positions. Jim joined a local staffing agency in 2000 as a recruiter/salesperson and quickly rose to Branch Manager and then to Professional Placement Manager. In his five years there Jim filled many roles and was primarily involved in placing people for administrative, accounting, marketing, design, engineering, technical and management positions. Experience in filling many different positions has allowed Jim to develop his ability to determine the most important skills and experience required for a successful hire. This experience, when combined with Jim s innate ability in determining an applicant s personality and character, has been the reason for his success in the staffing industry. Known for his sense of humor and ability to make candidates feel at ease, Jim believes that interviewing for a job is stressful enough without the added stress of a haughty recruiter. Born and raised in Buffalo NY, Jim has been a life long Buffalo booster and brings with him a wealth of knowledge of the WNY area and the people who live and work here. Jim received a BA in Anthropology from State University College at Buffalo and continued on in the Student Personnel Administrative graduate program where he completed one year with honors before devoting his efforts to his career. He has resided in North Buffalo for over 30 years. |
