Jim begins his 14th season with the Chicago Blackhawks. He began his career with Bismarck Enterprises in 1990 as head of retail operations at the Chicago Stadium. Jim successfully laid the foundation for Bismarck Enterprises to become one of the leaders in the arena sports merchandising business. Jim oversaw the merchandise sales for three NBA World Championships, one Stanley Cup Finals and one NHL All Star Game. In 1992 Jim coordinated the development of HawkQuarters, the official retail store of the Chicago Blackhawks, located on Michigan Avenue. HawkQuarters is one of the pioneers in stand alone retail operations for professional franchises and continues to be a successful merchandising and marketing asset for the Blackhawks.
In 1993 Jim joined the Blackhawks in the capacity of Director of Sponsorship Sales and has worked with numerous Fortune 1000 businesses to develop sponsorship programs to reach the desirable Blackhawk audience. In 2000 Jim added ticket sales responsibilities and has helped build a foundation to proactively sell season, partial and group tickets. In addition he oversees the Blackhawks advertising, game operations and interactive marketing efforts.
Jim is a graduate of Iowa State University. He and his wife, Monica, have a son, William and a daughter, Ava, and reside in Chicago. |
