Jim has been Outpatient Pharmacy Manager at Duke Hospital since November 2004 where he supervises all pharmaceutical care responsibilities and staff management, ensures compliance with all regulatory practice standards and participates in student and resident education. Prior to that Jim has held management positions at Harris-Teeter, Eckerd Drug and KERR Drug. In addition to serving on the Centice Pharmacy Advisory Board, Jim serves as a board member for Cardinal Health Regional Advisory and Duke Health System Resource Advisory. Jim also serves on many committees including Duke Hospital Compounding Oversight Committee and Duke Strength, Hope and Caring Committee. He is a member of the NC Association of Pharmacists Emergency Preparedness and the Orange County Board of Public Health Pharmacist in addition to being Chair of the Orange County Clinical and Community Programs. Jim graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 1984 with a BS in Pharmacy and completed research work with EPA published in Teratology in June 1985 and April 1987. He has won the Kerr Drug Store President�s Circle Store Manager of the Year Award in 1994 and became a PCCA Certified Compounding Pharmacist in 2000. |
