Mr. Summers joined SafeNet in April of 2004 and within a year he was serving as President of SafeNet, Mykotronx. In January of 2007 Mr. Summers was promoted to Senior Vice President and General Manager of SafeNet's Government Solutions Division. In this role he is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of SafeNet's portfolio of Government and Type 1 products and programs. Mr. Summers has an extensive background in high assurance cryptographic systems, products and architectures.
Prior to joining SafeNet, Mr. Summers served a dual role with General Dynamics C4 Systems as the Director of Engineering and the Director of Common Security Platforms Center of Excellence. His responsibility included directing the technology investments that drove the core security architectures required by all General Dynamics business units. In addition, Mr. Summers oversaw the engineering management and security architecture planning/implementation for a team of more than 700 engineers, program managers and business development managers.
Prior to General Dynamics, Mr. Summers spent a number of years at Motorola and served in several executive positions. His most recent responsibilities at Motorola included management of the engineering development team and post implementation support for IT system solutions for the public safety, transportation systems, airport systems, and utilities systems markets.
Mr. Summers holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration from Arizona State University. |
