Jim Timmins is a member of the Semiconductor and Systems Practice at Pagemill Partners, and heads the Valuation Practice where he is responsible for fairness opinions, valuations and specialized financial studies. He brings more than 15 years of experience in venture capital and 12 years of experience in investment banking. His experience also ranges across licensing and corporate partnering. Jim has participated in more than 30 merger transactions, 10 private placements, and 20 public offerings during his career.
Prior to joining Pagemill Partners, Jim was the managing director of the Silicon Valley office of NIF Ventures, the venture capital arm of The Daiwa Securities Group of Japan, and before that, a general partner of Glenwood Ventures and Glenwood Capital. He held previous positions in investment banking at Hambrecht & Quist and Salomon Brothers.
He currently serves on the board of directors for WaveSplitter Technologies and Zhone Technology, and has been a director of more than 20 other private and public companies during his career.
Jim holds a bachelor's degree from Trinity College, University of Toronto,
and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. |
