Jim Torney co-founded Essex Technology Group, Inc. (Essextec) in 1994. Mr. Torney oversees a 55-person operation and helps set the direction for the company. He works closely with IBM executives to ensure Essextec is aligned with IBM's market strategy. Mr. Torney has been appointed to sit on several IBM Advisory Councils, which include: Americas Solution Provider Council, and IGS Executive Advisory Council. His close working relationship with IBM assures Essextec's staff and clients have full access to creative problem solving and innovative technologies. Prior to his co-founding Essex Technology Group, Inc., Mr. Torney has held various sales and management positions in the computer industry, among them 11 years at IBM. Mr. Torney holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania. |
