Jim Yager is a Soil Specific Agronomist who was employed for 22 years with DuPont Ag Chemicals in Development, Sales, Research, and Research Farm Management. He obtained a BS Agronomy, Kansas State U., MS Crop Science, Mich. St. U., Ph.D. Agronomy, KSU. Jim has been consulting on Soil Specific Management for 10yrs using GPS, GIS, and new Electrical Conductivity technologies and techniques. He has studied 30 different crops in terms of the relationship between soil texture and associated properties in order to understand the effects on crop health. As a result Jim has developed a detailed knowledge of how to modify farming practices to take in to account soil characteristics and better optimize crop quality and yields. |
