Jo Ann Feindt was named Vice President, Area Operations for the Great Lakes Area in October 2003. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Feindt is the senior postal official in an area that encompasses most of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and Missouri, and is responsible for all postal operations including mail processing and distribution, delivery, retail and administrative operations.
Earlier, Feindt served as District Manager, Customer Service and Sales for the South Florida District.
Feindt, a 25-year postal veteran, began her career in 1979 as a distribution clerk in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Since then, she has served in a wide range of positions, including supervisor, Delivery and Collections; manager, Quality Control; manager, Operations Services; manager In-Plant Support; manager, South Florida Processing and Distribution Center and senior plant manager, South Florida District.
Feindt has studied Business Administration at Broward Community College in Florida and Barry University.
