Joan Moyer is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of expertise in the healthcare industry. Joan specializes in healthcare accounting and has expertise in operations review, financial projections, hospital reimbursement, internal planning and management in the acute and ambulatory care setting.
Joan has been involved in a wide variety of healthcare consulting engagements. Her assignments have ranged from acting as interim CFO to multi-facility hospital systems, developing business plans and financial projections, restructuring accounting systems, implementing performance improvement plans and assisting with the analysis of sale and debt restructuring for numerous healthcare entities. In a previous engagement, Joan was involved in the successful merger of 2 major hospital systems in New York City, NY.
Prior to joining Focus Management Group, Joan served as the Vice President of Finance for a healthcare consulting group, where she directed consulting engagements for numerous healthcare institutions. During her tenure, Joan developed financial projections for construction projects, managed acute care hospitals, nursing homes and ambulatory care centers (including one hospital in Chapter 11) and lead operations improvement projects of a variety of healthcare providers.
Joan is a Certified Public Accountant and received her BS Degree in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University. She is a Board Member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the St. Charles Borromeo Seminary and on the Board of Directors for the St. John Vianney Center.
