Joanna L. Silver has been associated with Cullen and Dykman LLP's Corporate Department since 1997 where she has been advising colleges and universities on a range of matters relative to education law practice. Ms. Silver is regularly engaged with inquiries made under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, provision of accommodations for students with disabilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and drafting of internal policies in such areas as human rights, sexual harassment, computer use, and alcohol and drug use on campus. Ms. Silver is also involved with the preparation and negotiation of construction law contracts and with the preparation of immigration applications for work permits, visas, US citizenship and labor certifications for the colleges' faculty members and students. |
