After a rewarding career of more than 27 years with IBM, Joanne L. Mumola Williams was asked by Ampro Computers to lead the company to similar success she accomplished with her IBM projects. In 1999, she accepted the challenge and joined Ampro as President and Chief Operations Officer. Within 18 months, she brought in a new team of executives, accomplished a financial turn-around, repositioned the product strategy to take adavantage of a significantly larger market space and set up the infrastructure to execute a vision that ended up changing the nature of embedded computing. Within two years, revenues grew more than 40 percent and numerous new products were introduced, including one that was immediately recognized by EDN as Innovation of the Year.
Now as the Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Williams has reaffirmed Ampro as an industry innovator and leader by creating new standards and expanding the product line. |
