Joanne joined KSTC in January 1996 and among her current administrative responsibilities is ensuring the creative collaboration and efficiencies among Knowledge-Based Economic Programs managed by KSTC. She played a coordinating role in producing Kentucky�s Science and Technology Strategy, a Cluster Analysis of Kentucky Industries, and the Entrepreneurial Policy Audit, which were central to the Kentucky Innovation Act. She is involved in other entrepreneurial initiatives such as EntreSchools� and the IdeaFestival�. Prior to KSTC, Joanne spent 17 years at the Kentucky Council on Higher Education where she developed three five-year, statewide strategic plans for higher education and implemented numerous projects emanating from those plans. She was selected for the national Top State Managers Program at Duke University and the Toll Fellowship Program sponsored by the Council of State Governments. Joanne earned her B.S. degree in Clinical Dietetics from Buffalo State College and her M.S. degree in Allied Health Education/Evaluation from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo. |
