Joanne M. Minieri is executive vice president and chief operating officer of Forest City Ratner Companies (FCRC) the New York City affiliate of Forest City Enterprises Inc.
FCRC was New York City's most active developer during the 1990s and is currently involved in all five NYC boroughs. Since the late 1980s FCRC has completed more than 6 million square feet of commercial and retail space with an additional 2.7 million square feet under development.
Minieri joined FCRC as chief financial officer in April 1995 and in January 1998 she was appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer. Minieri participates in the preparation and implementation of the company's business plan. She is also responsible for the cash management function of FCRC including the forecast and maintenance of a cash plan the cost control process and reporting function as well as the finance and accounting divisions.
Before joining Forest City Minieri a certified public accountant worked 13 years with Kenneth Leventhal & Company specializing in the real estate and financial services industries. Her experience includes a full range of professional accounting tax and consulting services for both private and public real estate companies in New York City.
A Brooklyn native Minieri is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and The Real Estate Board of New York and CREW-NY.
She is a graduate of Hofstra University with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
