After receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Carroll College in 1970 Mr. Etchart worked in the Insurance industry in Seattle, Washington and San Francisco, California. He returned to his family ranching enterprise where he continues to serve as President of the Hinsdale Livestock Company near Glasgow, Montana. Mr. Etchart's distinguished career as a Montana cattleman has earned the trust of his fellow cattlemen where he has served as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Montana Livestock Ag Credit, Inc. since 1984, and twice served as it's Chairman. Mr. Etchart also served a term as the president of the National Public Lands Council and successfully completed a term as the Chairman of the Western Livestock Producers Alliance.
Mr. Etchart has served in numerous civic, political and appointed posts in the state of Montana where he has earned the respect of his professional colleagues and elected officials. Mr. Etchart had the distinction of serving as the Campaign Finance Chairman during the first successful election of Montana Governor Marc Racicot. Mr. Etchart is married, has four children and resides in Glasgow, Montana. |
