Joe Ewing, 55, has been Terra�s Vice President, Investor Relations and Human Resources since August 2006. He joined Terra as Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Communications with the company�s 2004 purchase of Mississippi Chemical Corporation. Joe earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University in 1974. He served in engineering positions for Amoco Chemical Corp. and Engelhard Industries from 1974 to 1981, when he joined Mississippi Chemical as a Project Engineer. From 1982 to 1999, Joe held various positions with Mississippi Chemical, gaining expertise in purchasing, compensation, benefits, personnel management, procurement, distribution, marketing and sales. He was promoted to Vice President of Marketing & Distribution in 1999 and named Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Compliance Officer in 2002. Joe brings a wealth of experience to Terra. With his engineering, marketing and human resources background, he is able to view the physical, commercial and personal angles of opportunities and problems. Joe is flexible, creative and willing to consider numerous approaches to issues. He is a good listener with a dry sense of humor, making him approachable to his peers, direct reports and other employees.
