Joe Finney started in the transportation business working on a dock and driving for Milne Truck Lines in 1975 while attending Arizona State University. From there he progressed through the management ranks at Milne until moving to PIE in 1987, and then ANR in 1988. He then joined the management team at Viking Freight System in 1989 managing a variety of terminals in the western states until becoming a Region Director of Operations in 1996, responsible for the Midwest Region. He first became a Terminal Manager in 1986, and by 1996 he had successfully managed 11 separate terminals in 10 different cities, all with progressive areas of size and responsibility. When Viking downsized, Joe decided to stay in the Midwest. Wanting to experience a new type of industry, he became the General Manager of A&R Transport, a dry bulk carrier specializing in plastic resins. After an association with A&R for 3 years and seeing revenue grow from 65 million to 120 million, Joe still yearned for the fast paced environment of an LTL carrier. Joe moved back into the LTL industry and is now the President and C.E.O. for Bullet Freight Systems. |
