Joel, a director since 1997, has over sixteen years of professional experience with Ostrow Reisin Berk & Abrams, Ltd. He serves personal service corporations, financial service entities, and other closely-held companies, including manufacturing companies, distributors, retailers, law firms, medical practices, real estate developers, technology companies, marketing and advertising firms, and venture capitalists. In serving these clients, Joel helps them develop proper accounting systems and internal controls for their financial functions. He also performs cost analyses, cash flow reviews, and other specialty consulting work to help clients improve their bottom line. In addition to accounting and auditing services, Joel performs litigation support and due diligence investigation, as well as tax compliance work and tax planning for business owners and individuals.
Joel graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Business Administration. He is the director in charge of on-campus recruiting, as well as a member of the firm's personnel committee. He is a member of the Illinois CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Joel has served as the treasurer of the University of Michigan Business School Chicago Alumni Club, and as the chairman of the Jewish United Fund's Accountants' Division Education Committee. He has also served as a member of the Young Entrepreneurs Forum, the Edgewater Community Council, and the Lakewood Balmoral Residents Council. |
