Joel Houck joined American Capital in 2007 as Managing Director of Fund Financing. Prior to American Capital, Joel was a senior equity analyst at Wachovia Capital Markets LLC, covering companies in the specialty finance sector. Joel has also worked for A.G. Edwards & Sons Inc. as a senior equity analyst, where he established research coverage of the specialty finance sector. He came to A.G. Edwards after six years in the commercial banking industry, when he worked as a credit and commercial loan officer for NationsBank Corp. (formerly Boatmen�s Bancshares) and PNC Bank Corp. Mr. Houck was recognized six times in the annual Wall Street Journal poll "Best on the Street" published in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006. He was also ranked the number 1 stock picker in his sector in both 2000 and 2001.
Joel is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a B.S. in mathematics and statistics and an M.B.A. in finance from Miami University in Oxford, OH. |
