Joel Potter is an urban forester with Davey Resource Group. Mr. Potter conducts computerized tree inventory projects for municipalities, parks, and golf courses. He has experience with GIS-based pen tablet computers and handheld PDA data collection units, as well as GPS technology. He has assisted on the public tree inventories of Jacksonville, Florida and Lakeland, Florida. He holds prior urban forestry experience as an intern with the City of Mobile, Alabama Urban Forestry Department, where he was involved in public tree assessments, code enforcement, as well as other urban forestry duties. Post-internship, Mr. Potter went on to work for the City of Mobile constructing and conducting a city-wide street tree inventory. Mr. Potter is a graduate of The University of Auburn and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in horticultural science with an emphasis in nursery and greenhouse management. |
