John-Mark joined Sheehan Phinney�s Litigation Group in September 2002. He has worked on a variety of matters in both state and federal courts with a focus on commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, John-Mark served as law clerk to the Hon. Michael Murphy, Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
John-Mark�s practice also concentrates on insurance and ERISA litigation, intellectual property litigation and tax litigation. While in law school, John-Mark was an Executive Editor for the California Law Review.Sample Matters
Successfully defended insurer from disability benefits claim at both the trial and appellate levels. Cases reported at Wright v. R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. Group Benefits Plan, 402 F.3d 67 (1st Cir. 2005) and Kenna v. Hartford Life & Acc. Ins. Co., 2005 WL 2175158 (D.N.H. Sept. 6, 2005).
Acted as appellate counsel to New Hampshire coffee roaster in trademark infringement and dilution suit brought by large coffee retailer.
Obtained summary judgment on behalf of multi-state credit card processing company in Business Profits Tax dispute.

John-Mark is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in New Hampshire, as well as the United States Tax Court and the United States Courts of Appeal for the First and Second Circuits.
Community Involvement
John-Mark is on the Board of Directors of the Farnum Center, a treatment center for individuals dealing with alcohol and substance abuse.
